In the name of Allah, the most gracious the most merciful.
Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Here we are peeps; 10 malam terakhir! As much as we do not want Ramadhan to end (well it's going to end sooner or later anyways), let's make as much good deeds as possible shall we?! If we can stay up watching World Cup or studying for finals, why makes you think you can't do it for just for the rest 10 days of Ramadhan? Right?
SubhanAllah, I feel such an oldie now. When I was a kid, all I can think of was the excitement of Syawal. I was so excited for Syawal, but everything has changed now. Ramadhan is INDEED wayyyy more exciting than Syawal!
Okay back to the topic.
I have to admit that I was pretty bad when it comes to making du'a (doa; that's what us Malaysian always said). After I finished my prayer, I just simply raised my hand and started to make a random du'a (usually in arabic, in which I don't understand a single word). Worst part, it was not even a 2 minute du'a. Probably even less than that.
Sigh. I was so disappointing with myself.
Lo behold, I grabbed my phone and started to make a note to things that I should make a du'a in every prayer. Or I called it as 'MY EVERYDAY DU'A ROUTINE' (funny enough it sounds like a makeup tutorial thing LOL). Here's my dua that I would like to share with all of you. Hopefully it inspires you to make a dua for yourself too :)
1) ALWAYS START WITH YOU AND ALLAH
It's all about you and Allah. Allah is the MOST FORGIVING, so seek for HIS forgiveness. There is no boundaries between you and HIM. So, seek everything that you want. Express them.
2) DU'A FOR YOUR PARENTS
Never ever skip this dua even after they are no longer in this world. Remember there's a saying?
“apabila mati seseorang anak adam itu, maka akan terhenti segala amalanya kecuali 3 perkara iaitu sedakah jariah, ilmu yang memberi guna, DOA ANAK-ANAK YANG SOLEH”
As for myself, I have always pray that:
- They are in good health
- Constant happiness
- Grant them a long live (umur yang panjang)
- Have mercy on them as they had mercy upon me when I was small (the usual arabic dua)
- Express how thankful I am for having such a loving parents (I would normally started to burst into tears on this part, thinking of what they have done to raise me up)
3) DU'A FOR ANYBODY ELSE
It could be your husband/wife, children (if you are married), in laws, siblings, friends etc. If do you love them, take some time to make du'a for them. It won't hurt. I still remember that there's a saying that the angels (malaikat) will pray on behalf of us too. Masha Allah, malaikat pray for us? Isn't that wonderful?
4) A GOOD ENDING (Mati dalam keadaan yang baik)
Like any other muslim, I want to die in a good and easy way. It's hard for me to say this, but nobody wants to die like, a car accident or something like that. Let's pray to Allah that may we end up our lives safe and sound.
5) AVOID FROM THE FIRE OF HELL (Dijauhi azab api neraka/kubur)
I don't deserve a heaven, nor I want to be in hell as well. This is the part where most of the time that I couldn't hold my tears any longer. If only we get to see what we will be in grave/hell, I would probably shaking to death. May Allah forgive us for our sins. O Allah, YOU love to forgive. For that please forgive us.
6) DU'A FOR MY FUTURE ZAUJ
I separate this from number #3 because, of course I want to make him special as he will be my other half sooner or later (cewah jiwangs noks). I am not a good girl (yet), but I am trying to be one. I'm hoping as he is in the state of improving himself too. I have no idea who he is (yet!) but I always believe that he is the best for me. We'll be get this life thru together honey. Okay that's it you get the idea :P #FACEPALM
7) PRAY FOR GAZA! PRAY FOR ISLAM. PRAY FOR MY BELOVED COUNTRY
Somehow it's devastating to think that all I can do for my brothers and sisters there is just... DU'A. This world is no longer a safe place to live in. O Allah, YOU know what's the best. YOU know everything. Please have mercy on them. Grant them the highest place in Jannah.
As for my country, we are being tested as well. Don't forget to pray for Malaysia too.
I guess that's pretty much it. Thanks for reading and please let me know what du'a that you make. I might be overlooking and who knows that I might add your du'a in mine too ;)
My dear brothers and sisters of Islam, never stop du'a. JUST DON'T STOP.
